Comments: ... I don't know what's cooler... how far back the driver is seated inside the #81, or those way cool STP 'jammies!"  I never got to see Lee Osborne race at his local tracks, but I know that when he came to Langhorne, he was always a strong runner.

03.10.12 Jim Lee Osborne ran this car on the opening day at Old Bridge in 1968, under an alias. I presume that had something to do with Nascar.
03.14.12 Laurel Bean Saw Lee win a Lebanon Valley "Open Show" in the late 60's in a car that looked a lot like this one.
03.21.12 Bill K Got to see Lee run this car at Reading in early season shows. I remember he was part of the huge first turn pile-up in the 1969 opener when Toby rolled over a few times. I was sitting in the first turn with my Pop. I actually think the 81 made the Reading Eagle in the background of the 17.
03.26.12 George Pavlisko "Wizard of Oz"....Lee was the wizard when he got into any car. Sprint or Modified. The car is from the Turner Brothers Stable in upstate New York. They had another car there that also had a pretty good driver in it. Don "DUTCH" Hoag. That was a premier ride in the day when you got in a Turner Brothers Car. Mr. Turner is still with us and makes the Modified Reunion in Florida.

And not only is Mr. Turner still around, so are Lee and Dutch - Lee is Dutch's son in law if I remember correctly, and both live near Penn Yan NY.  The Turner Brothers cars (see the ram air and roof wing on Dutch's cars in a previous pic) were very trick for their era and won a boatload of races.
