Provider's comments: This is an interesting shot of an accident in front of the large crowd on hand at Flemington.  Along with Nandi Palmai (who was sporting the driving unform of the time), the accident also involved a 55-57 Chevy driven by A.J. Fox, who many remember became the back stretch flagger (pit exit) at East Windsor. The V2 pictured above was "borrowed" one night by Mike Grbac who drove it to victory in the Novice Division, on his way to a championship winning season.

12/17/02 Red Fred AJ Fox is still the back stretch{pit gate} flagger at EWS. His last name is Struble and he is the uncle to sportsman driver Chuck Flesch.
