Comments: I know this isn't the best quality photo, but remember, we at the Vault are all about the memories that each picture stirs up, not just about quality.  And speaking of memories, I remember Lee driving this green little coupe that was mostly engine in a time when green was about as rare on a racecar as peanuts we in the pits...

07/07/03 Jim Murrow Lee Hendrickson was always one of my favorites at Flemington. For years, he ran a sportsman car, # 07, before going Modified with the # Z1 cars. Those 07 cars were absolutely beautiful. I think the last 07 was a 37 Ford 4 door sedan, with full fenders, grill, and side panals. It was painted white, and had gorgeous lavender pin striping and numbers. If anybody has a picture of that car, please send it to 3 wide. I think it may be the prettiest car of the whole coupe/coach era. When he went Modified, Lee changed to a lavender and white coupe, and changed his number to Z1. The difference between the last 07, and the first Z1 was amazing.   Thanks, Jim Murrow
07/07/03 John Mc This was the car that Bucky Barker bought, painted it purple & #ed it 825. Destroyed it in a nasty flip down the backstretch @ Flem....JMc

Appears to be at Harmony Speedway, possibly Lee's September 6, 1969 win.
