07/07/03 Jim Murrow Can't help you with this car. I have to admit, I don't remember it. I do, however, remember Georgie Sleight doing a great job, driving the "Big Donkey", # 707. I don't remember what year(s) he drove it, though. It seems to me that Georgie may have driven the 707 for 2 years, but I'm not sure. Thanks,
07/07/03 Mark Yaple The car pictured here is the Walt Garret 2A later driven to numerous wins by Carl VanHorn. Georgie Sleight known as the "Easton Express" to many was also one of the many chauffers to strap into the seat of the Pat Ronco R12. Mark Yaple
12/12/03 FCobrajet428 I bet it was LOUD - check out the zoomies. (WAY before mufflers)
12/12/03 Richard Nester I don't remember this car #2A but I do remember Georgie Sleight in theblack and white #19 at Hatfield in 1960 and 61.  A friend of mine bought
the 19 in late 63 and kept it in his garage in Southampton from 63 until 66 or 67.   Georgie Sleight  began in 1962 to drive the 707.

The years are beginning to fade my memories of the dates but not the cars and the guys who drove them...

01/27/05 John Stover I recall George driving the 707 at Hatfield in 1966. Thanks, John Stover
03/05/05 Randy Finelli As a young teenager in the mid to late 60's my father was the welder for Pat Roncos R-12.  George was the driver back then.   My father worked the pit and I would ride in on the Ronco Rambler Wrecker.   Now the old Rambler garage has been torn down and Pat Ronco passed away a long time ago. Those were the days. Randy Finelli - Formerly of Bangor, PA.
