07/10/03 Mark Yaple Lenny was and still is one of the nicest guys around who always had time to visit after the races no matter how his night went. Lenny drove this self owned mount along with the Hustak / Allison 71, and the Silvestri 21 to name a few. The coupe pictured here ended up in the capable hands of Phil Meisner who wheeled it to victories at Harmony & Flemington as a Sportsman before serving as Al Michalchuk's first ride. Al started his career in the #4 at the end of the "71 season, and later destroyed it in a backstretch crash at Windsor. Lenny is the present day proprietor of Martin's Collision Center in Trenton, NJ where past and present competitors still stop by to "Talk Racing". Thanks for the great late sixties pictures, my favorite era. Mark Yaple
07/18/03 3-Wide I ran into Lenny at at Trenton Thunder game tonight (7/18/03) and he looks like he could get right back behind the wheel of one of his yellow #4's!  I did speak to him regarding the history of his cars and he told me that they had actually purchased Al Michalchuk's #292 after Al had used it up pretty good but after that, he wasn't sure where it ended up.  We did agree it would be nice to have the old #292 or maybe that beautiful yellow #4 Falcon parked in a garage somewhere...
