Comments: Comment provided by Russ:   Some of the prettiest cars to be fielded at Flemington in the 60's were the cars of Joe Csolak, from Trenton. Joe used the '37 Ford flat back in the novice division and the Chevy coupe as a sportsman. I believe the car always had an ad for Mike's Steak House on Olden Ave., painted on the trunk. Joe was a mechanic in a Ford garage at the time, I recall, and went on to own a very successful towing business. Joe Csolak past away two years ago. This 1967 photo of Joe at Flemington was taken by Joe Bahm. Thanks, Russ Dodge

06/15/03 Todd L Joe had a very successful towing business on Eggerts Crossing Road in Ewing Township and his wreckers and rollbacks were just as immaculate as his racecars.
11/28/03 BOBBY FIORELLO (MR. FORD)  JOE ALWAYS HAD TIME TO CHAT.  WHEN I LIVED IN EWING,   I'LL NEVER FORGET HOW CLEAN HIS WRECKER WAS WHEN HE PULLED INTO DELI DELITE.   HE WOULD SAY HELLO AND BE ON HIS WAY.  A TRUE GENTLEMAN TO THE SPORT IN HIS HEYDAY.
12/31/03 Ruth Sickles Joe, Sharon Csolak and their children were assets to Ewing Township.  I have so many fond memories of the Csolak family, especially my best friend, Sharon.  I've been attempting to contact her; to no avail.  Does anyone know where this family is now?  I moved away a long time ago and lost contact.   I would sincerely appreciate any information.  Ruth Sickles, Marcine Ocean Co., NJ
12/19/04 J. STINNETT AS A YOUNGSTER IN THE EARLY SIXTIES JOE WAS A FAVORITE WITH ME,HIS CARS WERE ALWAYS IMMACULATE BLUE AND WHITE. ONCE I WITNESSED JOE SEND THE 16 INTO THE FIRST TURN WALL ON WARMUPS AFTER GETTING CAULT IN A RAIN STORM AT FLEMINGTON.
06/16/07 Sharon (Csolak) LaPage Just found out about this website. What a wonderful surprise! It was just great looking back through the pages of time at all the familiar faces and names.

This coupe is the #16 that Al Tasnady christened "Bubbles" at a surprise party in May, 1966. Al, the President of his fan club, Judy Nelson, the Vice-President of the fan club, Gail Silvers, along with Harold Rulon of AARN, and other friends, barged in on Joe at his garage one night. The car was sponsored by the Brookfield Pro Shop, Slocum's Bowl-a-Drome.

It was also a surprise to see that a long, lost friend had been trying to locate me for so long. I moved from New Jersey in 1996 to Ft. Myers, Florida. My children and I have kept a scrapbook of Joe's racing years, and you have a picture on your website that we did not have. We do now. Thank you so much.

The friend that was trying to locate me is Ruth Sickles Marcine, but I have no way of contacting her except through you. So, hopefully, she will see this comment.

Thank you again for this great website.  Thank you so much. I've spent the last 2 hours going through your website and I'm not finished yet. Love it.

Thanks again.

06/17/07 Michelle (Csolak) Kemler What a wonderful surprise to find out about this site, and on Father's Day no less!!

As the youngest of the Csolak kids, I'm extremly grateful that so many have remembered my Dad for the true gentleman that he was. He is missed dearly but by looking back at the great times he had and sharing those with others makes me glad he touched so many. My son is really excited to actually see people remembering his grandfather.

He passed away in 1999 but I'm sure if he were here today he'd be really proud.

Thanks again for the great website!!!

Michelle (Csolak) Kemler
