the photo of Pierce driving the #00, but I thought it was appropriate to post here as
well..) Pierce was from Delanco, NJ. He was a distant family relative of mine. I was too young to remember the "00" but I do remember the "11" blue and white coupe. Yes, the car was towed at that time with a Chevy El Camino. I remember many trips to Flemington with my dad and Pierce. He passed away from cancer in the mid-70's. I have run into some of his family members from time to time at New Egypt Speedway. The number "11" on my first late model was chosen in memory of him. |
