Comments: Comment from Ricky: This picture is on the homestretch of the old Nazareth 1/2 mile, when the stands were on the other side. The car is the Grbac Special. The guy working on the car is the driver "Tex" Enright.

He would later go on to be the flambouyant flagger at the track. Wearing an Indian head band and Indian clothing, he would run across the track in front of the oncoming cars, jump up in the air, and wave the green flag. For me as a little kid, it was almost as exciting as the race itself.

03/08/06 Chris Creamer Have to agree about Tex as a flagger, he was exciting to watch as he started a field of modifieds just as you described.
06/12/07 Herb When Tex Enright was  the starter he ran the race or would run you out of gas.
