Comments: "The Flying Baker" Vince Cannizzaro at the Hightstown Speedway.  Vince was quite a wheelman in the 50's and 60's and would continue running up into the 70's.  The Hightstown Speedway was a small asphalt track that was located closer to Airport Road in the area of what would later become the Northeast parking lot for the 1/2 mile dirt surfaced speedway that opened in the mid 60's.

Vince was one of the nicest guys I ever knew.  I used help him at times when he FLAT TOWED to VINELAND on Friday nights.  We towed out of Fred Atkinsin's garage on Chambers and New Cedar Lane.   Freddie ran a Studebaker with a Wally Marks dodge engine in his car.   Vince just raced for the REAL JOY he got from it.  He always told me I just need the tow money and a few bucks from the purse to make ends meet.
