Comments: Comments provided by Russ:   I've sent this Harry Seehousz picture of John Settrella with his # 88 hobby car to support the comment place under the Ralph Smith photo on page 5 of the 50's. This was the last # 88 Putty Hill Garage car owned by George Heffner. As described, the car ended up with John. Alcyon only ran hobby cars the last couple years it operated and that was after Bill Nocco got control of the track as promoter. John, a very talented artist brought the car to Pitman, with these "God Awful" bright green flames all over the car. Racing as "Jonathan" at Alcyon he switched to being "Johnny Dee" when he raced at Vineland and went to traditional red flames that we similar to the original ones that had been on the car. I saw John at a Wheaton Village car show a few years ago. I believe he had collectable Corvettes and did custom airbrush work on custom cycle tanks in Glassboro, N.J. He is a tremendously talented individual. Thanks, Russ Dodge

05/10/03 Jim Murrow OK, Russ, you have, (once again) amazed me!  I mention that the last 88 car ended it's life as a "Hobby" car driven by a kid who called himself "Johnathan", and you immediately come up with a picture and info on the kid!   How the heck do you do it?  Your Ole' fan, Jim Murrow
05/10/03 3-Wide I'm not sure how he does it either, but I have heard that his only weakness is kryptonite.....  Thanks Jim and Russ for keeping the 50's and 60's around for us whippersnappers!
05/11/03 Russ Dodge Actually, now that I have thought about it for a while, I believe the car was sold and raced at Flemington by Lou Drastal from Vineland, N.J.
